HILLSBORO -- James M. Foster, 77, of Rt. 1, Hillsboro, a retired mechanic, was found dead at his residence Wednesday. He had been in failing health for several months. He was a veteran of World War I. Born Oct. 24, 1896, in Macon County, Illinois, he was a son of James and Annie Kinnerman Foster. He was married Feb. 12, 1938. The widow, Martha, survives. Other survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Helen) Myers of Iowa, Mrs. Charles (Georgetta) Starnes of Yountsville, Mrs. Don (Judy) Leeke of Roachdale, Mrs. Tom (Patricia) Crowder of Hillsboro, Miss Susan Foster of Lafayette, and Sally, a student at Fountain Central High School; three sons, James of Wingate, Roger of Wallace and Robert of Florida; and 15 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Woodrow Funeral Home at Kingman with the Rev. John Foxworthy of Waynetown officiating. Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery east of Wallace.
